Achieving Performance Excellence through Integration of Quality and Process Frameworks

In a large, diverse corporation like Northrop Grumman, we implement CMMI® Level 5, ISO 9001:2000, ISO 20000-1:2005, AS 9100, Lean Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing, ITIL Best Practices and other quality and process frameworks across our enterprise. We determine and implement the approach that makes most sense for the business portfolio to achieve our business goals and customer needs.  Under any circumstance, and regardless of which framework we choose for a business area, we are committed to enterprise performance excellence.

Oftentimes, an organization establishes a goal to achieve a specific maturity level in CMMI® or to become registered or certified in accordance with a specific quality standard. With the goal firmly established, all employees in the organization move forward in unison to meet that goal . .  or do they?

Diane will draw upon her 25 years experience in leading organizations to performance excellence to discuss topics of critical importance to conference participants:

  • Determining the organization needs and goals
  • Selecting the right quality / process framework(s)
  • Implementation approach
  • Infrastructure needs
  • Monitoring progress and measuring success
  • Lessons learned
  • Sustaining and institutionalizing the achievement
  • Change Leadership

Diane has successfully led two organizations of the $500M to $1B revenue size to CMMI® Maturity Level 5 and AS 9100 certification.  She will focus on CMMI® implementation within the construct of the overall performance excellence strategy.
